Not a SIM team but might as well should be. Gridiron Dynasty - Football Sim Games - Boxscore - Northwestern State vs Towson

My 1st loss in the 1st round in 26 seasons....

You do realize that it was a mixture of your faulty game plan and the other guys genious in putting his GP together don't you?

Edit: said with tongue in cheek and just aping a certain crowd before they get on this thread and tell you the same thing with their straight faces.

There has been far too much of the bad gamplanning explanation for 3.0 upsets. That is what I have heard over and over. My post was pure sarcasim. The truth is 3.0 is too much about randomness and talent differential being way too watered down.

And we have no real idea what the engine is using for attributes, in what situations it is using them, and what weights are put on them.

And remember when we thought 2.0 was pure randomness

The more attributes used and the more decisions to be made lead to more randomness.

Go back to the KISS method of designing this game and things will get a lot better really quickly.

How do you off set this? Recruit the highest rated players on the board and ignore cores all together? Learning the cores in 1.0 was the most critical aspect of recruiting.

Sorry for asking, but what is the KISS method?

You already forget, when 2.0 rolled out, your exact team would have gone 7-6.....that $hit was random.

But I agree, just looking at rosters, you should've had no problem winning.

Towson in Heisman got Simmed today, but its full of Sr/Jrs recruited by a top coach....but still...its a SIM gameplan vs a top human coached team.

When all the attributes are important....none of them are.  (famous quote from......wait for it.....wait for it......wait for it.....

Actually I never lost to a team I had no business losing to in 2.0. I got extremely lucky. I guess this kinda makes up for it. It's just upsetting. I have as good a team as you can get for d1aa
