Here is a list of three teams and their opponents overall record. Does anyone know how the SOS is made up?

Team 1- 12-0 rank #1 opponents record 87-62 SOS 16

Team 2- 11-1 rank #2 opponents record 86-63 SOS 1

Team 3- 10-2 rank #6 opponents record 99-57 SOS 6


Now how is team 2 SOS #1 when their opp record is a combined 86-63 when team one and three opponents has better records? There is no other team in D1 has opponents that has a total of 99 wins and team three is ranked 6th and had the 6th SOS? Can anyone explain?

The opponents' opponent's record is also a factor.

Which two teams should play for the NC depending on their record SOS and opponents record if they won out and all three won their conference?

With that opponents combined record. Beating three elites in non conference and going 6-1 against current top 25 teams and nobody thinks team three deserves a shot at the NC?
