one page resumes are only good if you are right out of college. You should have at least a two pager these days.
I don't really see a way mine could fit on one page, short of like a 6 pt font.

Hopefully, the hospital offers me something worth taking short term, so I can take my time searching for something better if needed.  I'd rather not get backed into a kamikaze search where I have to take the first thing I get offered, but it could go that way quickly.
Is there a legit shot you will be out of work for a while?
Yeah, but only if I turn down what the hospital offers me and fail to find another option quickly.

this started sounding like the "Honestly" post.
I realized that by the end, but what the hell.

Is TME ready to charge for their services?

Did your doctor retire/move or something TM?
He's leaving at the end of next year to go be a full time third world missionary doc.  The local hospital is taking over the practice at the end of this year.  They're going to keep some staff here, and offer other positions to the rest.  They've indicated to him that they're likely going to offer me a position as an office manager of another practice, or possibly something in the risk management department.

Concur
Pretty sure most places throw the second page out.

One page is still pretty standard I think.
Guess it depends on the role. Entry-level might be one page. Tm has 10 years of work experience and mediocre accomplishments to put on paper... hard to do on one page. That said.. if you do two pages you better fill the second page. It looks pretty bad to have your lifestyle work only fill a half page
one page is not at all standard. I'm not going to put my high school jobs on there--but everything relevant to what I am looking for is making it on there. You need to get samples of successes--and some specific examples. Detail is good--looks less likely that you are making **** up than being vague. For me thats not getting on one page. Most of the detail would be with the current job. Stuff I did 10 years ago doesnt need a ton of detail.

It's really more like nepotism got this job me.  Writing samples aren't a problem, as long as there's no statute of limitations imposed on their acceptability.
and by acceptable, you mean;  grammur, not overusing punctuation, content and ease of read?
Don't make me come over there.

Yeah, even if I take off all my part time/summertime jobs, and knock my college degree down to like a two line entry, I'm still over a page and a half.

Well TM, I don't think you have any choice except to invest in your most valueable asset, your game 7 WS ticket.  You should go to the local establishment and cheer like you never have cheered before.  And to fit in, you ought to get drunk as well.

I see $ still has 3 spots open.  I'll ask around to see if anyone I know is interested again
