I thought about wanting to try something like this a while back, so I'm excited to see that someone is doing it and would like to give this a try!

I've always wanted to do a concept like this. I really like the idea of rolling dice and having the randomization be weighted around the current season. I'll join as long as this doesn't start before the 13th.

Anyway I have a few questions... Say I draft Bobby Grich who doesn't have a 71 season and you roll a +1 for him; do I put him on IR, use his 72 season, or get a reroll? Also what happens when 71 comes around? Does he automatically go on IR or do you get to roll him.

How is AL/NL determined? Can we choose our preference or is that decided by the ballpark you choose? Are parks being selected in a round before the draft or during the player draft itself?

Finally I'm a little concerned about no AAA. I think with the random aspect going on after drafting it's going to be almost impossible to have enough PA/IP in many seasons. If you really don't like AAA perhaps we could expand the rosters and either use those guys as AAA or at least pick the 25 best after the roll... For the future draft order I think we should stick with the random factor a little. Some sort of lottery for non playoff teams or just the worst few.

I think the I/R player has to be out for that season, otherwise it would be hard to get a 25 man roster..  Then if a player with an active season, rolls an I/R season, then its a re-roll.  Agreed on AAA.  Ballparks selected in initial draft.
