Actually, just a thought, is there anyway to run a 20 team league with a Wild Card?  Such as, 3 divisions in each league, 2 of them with 3 teams and 1 with 4?  Just a thought...I can't say anyone would even like it, but as you can see, i am very pro 24 owners with WC as i feel that makes the owners with the lower teams feel they have a fight chance.

As indicated before I'd rather see smaller # if the alternative is extinction but I really don't like losing the WC and unless I'm mistaken the WC is only available in a 24 team league. That being said, if necessary I'd be willing to take a second team if others do too to make it to 24

I tend to agree with you.  I would much rather rather have the league around with 20 teams, than not around at all.  However, if it is possible, i think a 24 team Wild Card league would be the best and most fun option, in my opinion at least.

The unclaimed teams need an extra incentive - how about giving the final 8 teams a Yankee FA AND a Franchise FA??

I'd take an extra team for the extra free agent.

I was thinking the same thing.  Maybe the leftover teams should get 2 Yankee FA's or a franchise FA or a Yankee FA and another FA from the same season.

may have to give them extra incentive

I'm interested if you can come up with a way to make some of the available teams worth taking.  Since every team under .600 gets a Yankee FA and there are so many years available, it's unlikely even the best teams won't get less than their 2nd or 3rd choice, so that isn't really an advantage.  Getting a 2nd one doesn't solve the problem either.

Once you start looking at some of the Yankee teams (especially 67-80ish) there is 1 real standout guy, then a good drop-off to #2.

Not really, and since not everybody will be using the same year, there may only be one team using that specific year.

You all are not gonna like this. I was recently promoted unexpectedly. Great stuff. Seriously doubt my ability to run this, as can tell lately

We could always do like we do in the LOTD twist leagues and let the winner of the season start up the following season.  And I'd be willing to keep a list of the teams everyone has taken.

I'd recommend sending out a sitemail to everyone letting them know your going to do that cstrohmier, but i like the idea.
