I see that jeff4noles' team is already called the Bears so that won't work. I will take Trenton and just go with the Thunder, no problem.
I am trying to get my linear mind around this somewhat confusing trade system: basically if you draft the Red Sox pitching set in 1971 you will lose Sparky Lyle for the start of 1972 right ?
And it also means that you will sometimes obtain players mid-season - so a knowledge of all players that played for said team (set) in a given year is essential as bheid408 points out.
You are correct with the Sparky diagnosis.
The "Set" of Red Sox pitchers for 1971 contain Siebert, Culp, Peters, Lonborg, Moret, Nagy, Curtis, Lee, Tiant, Bolin, Lyle, Tatum, and Brett.
Of those 13 pitchers from 1971 only 8 of them, Siebert, Curtis, Culp, Tiant, Lee, Peters, Bolin and Tatum return for 1972.
Pattin, McGlothlen, Krausse Jr, and Newhauser join the Red Sox pitching in '72 so you'd also have thoseto choose from.
