We need 1 replacement owner for a progressive which started in 1970. We will be entering our 15th season (1984). This has been a very stable league as this is only the 2nd turnover in the last 6 seasons !

The team available is the San Diego Yepites, who are  95-64 with 3 games left in the season and are winning the NL West Division by 25 games and has the best record in the NL by 2 games. The owner has failed to post keepers or respond to site mails.

This is an excellent opportunity to pick up a team which should continue to dominate their division for a number of seasons.

The actual stats for the team's players for the 1984 season or shown below.

As this is a very stable league and I am looking for long term owners, I will review interested owners progressive league history before awarding the team. Please indicate interest below.

I will give interested owners immediate access to the league private forum. The first task of a new owner would be to post keepers for the team-all other teams have now posted keepers. The league season concludes tomorrow and I will post the draft ordr shortly thereafter.

As soon as we have found a new owner and keepers are posted for the team I will finalize and post the available player list and we will be able to set the draft schedule for the league.

The team has a very good pitching staff and was among the league leaders in most batting categories. The OF is very strong. Some help is needed at 1B and 3B which should probably be draft priorities. Because there are only 16 teams, there is plenty of talent available,

Hmmm..... I've been in this league since it's inception ( 14 yrs ) & this has been one of the best run leagues I have ever participated in. I empathize with your health issues as I have had some myself but the keepers began being posted on May 3 & all have been posted but yours since May 20 seven days ago. The Commish s-mailed the owners & informed them he had s-mailed you numerous times, those s-mails had been opened but there had been no response. What was he to do ? . He has an obligation to all owners to maintain the continuity of the league, you were noticed but didn't respond. Unfortunately, the 2 yrs you were in the league didn't turn out better but often times owners disappear with no notice. This Commish has been pro-active in maintaining this as a quality league & he shouldn't be faulted here. Hope your real life health issues get resolved .

My keepers are posted. Can I move the franchise and rename, just rename... or neither? I would prefer to have flexibility in home stadiums that arent being used. If not, I'm cool.

The franchise needs to stay in San Diego but you can rename the team and use any stadium used by the Padres. For the 1902 league I used the 8 original franchises plus the first 4 expansion teams.

Thanks for the kind words kasprowitz.

I certainly was not arbitrary in this situation-if papabilly had ever indicated there were health problems I would have been happy to work with him. In other cases I have posted keepers, made draft choices, and even "babysat" a team for a season and returned it to it's owner, but I heard nothing from him.
