No, your claim was that there was a bias towards the left in polls and you used that article as an example.  So, you're dead wrong based on your own evidence.

No, the poll said Reagan by 5 but the article pointed out that recent events with the hostages would make the polls obsolete.  Keep reaching.

Only one time since the end of the Great Depression has the incumbent party retained the Presidency with an unemployment rate greater than 6%.  That was the Republicans (Ronald Reagan) in 1984.  Five other times (1960, 1976, 1980, 1992 and 2008) the challenging party won the Presidency.

The unemployment rate as of the end of October 2012 is 7.9%.
