Speaking of losing, Romney is shitting the bed right now. 4 more years.
Winning in VA, FLA, NC, and MO.

To close in Ohio, Colo, NH
No chance in Florida buddy...pretty much 100 percent of the conservative counties are in.  Better luck with Christie in 2016.

Christie is toast nationally. Will be interesting if Booker challenges him for Governor, or tries to take Lautenberg's seat in '14.

What makes you think Christie is toast nationally? I hear his favorables are high. He made nice with Obama in a crisis.
11/8/2012 3:59 AM
That didn't help him with the Republican base.

I have no problem with him giving kudos to Obama if he felt credit was deserved.  The idea that everyhting should be an opportunity to slam or impede the other side is the biggest problem in Washington.

When one has to say "I support Romney" after giving kudos, everyone knows what was perceived when said kudos were given.

I'm not saying it wasn't the right thing to do, a good job is a good job(although that's being disputed now and being called a photo op by some), I'm just saying the base did not care much for it.

Chris Christie is in no way toast nationally.  I think this term is going to show much more bi-partisanship than the last one...well it would be hard to have less, or even an equal amount.  The Republicans have to know by now that just sitting in the way, and offering up nothing but NO isn't going to work. If they want to evolve, they are going to have to rethink much of their platform/strategy.  They gain nothing by being obstructionist this time.  If you want to see bad approval ratings, just look at congress.

The demographics are shifting away from the old rich white guys, the GOP needs to roll with the tide or get swept out to sea.

Of course it's disputed....this admin nailed public enemy number one and people on the right were still there to give him **** over it.  Most of those people probably had Bush at the podium while the Mission Accomplished banner hung in the background as their screen saver at one point.

Uh, I was talking about the people who are without power and getting snowed on while FEMA offices in the area are closed due to weather.    I'm not talking about the righty talking heads that are going to find fault in everything.
11/8/2012 10:45 AM
That said, I'm not sure how much stock should be placed on people who are suffering.   Of course, they don't think enough is being done to help them.
11/8/2012 10:54 AM
Nearly everyone in the U.S. thinks plenty is done to help others and not enough is done to help themselves.
