High-Capacity Assault Weapons Topic

Yeah, hoping to protect innocent children from being massacred and paying medical bills for a 42 year old lung-cancer stricken man who has smoked for 20 years, and still does, is the same thing.

Nice logic there.

How about the innocent children that don't have access to health care?
12/30/2012 12:20 PM
Do they have parents who could, or should, supply them with access to health care?

I'm 100% certain that I do not want parents armed at school to protect their children.

Not willing to pay taxes for health care, but willing to pay taxes for armed security in schools.    The gun lobby is good at what they do!
I dont remember the NRA taking a stand on Obamacare!

does it really matter?  Are there different degrees of innocence?

I don't remember talking about the NRA...I thought we were talking about MikeT.  How bout you just step aside and let the adults have a discussion.

You implied that somehow this was because of the Gun Lobby.

Maybe you should actually understand what you are saying before you comment on a response!
12/30/2012 11:03 PM
Oh...did you finally figure out who the gun lobby is...earlier this month, you weren't sure.
12/30/2012 11:09 PM
So you admit your comment was crazed and incoherent?

Yep....

The fed gov't should only be involved in three things... the central bank, national security (internal and external threats), and upholding (not making) the law.  Protecting our kids falls in those categories.... healthcare does not.

So none of the anti-gun types has had the guts to stand up and answer the big question...

Is there any evidence to support that an AG ban would reduce crime in America??

I realize you need to hurry up and try to ban as many guns as possible before people go back to supporting 2nd amenment freedoms but it will only take a few moments to answer the question...

Let me help you...The word that bests answers the question begins with an N and ends with an O!

Question for swamp:

Why does Joe Citizen need a high capacity assault weapon?
Why dies Joe Citizen need to smoke? Lung cancer kills more people than assault weapons.

Why does Joe Citizen need 2-4 cars in their driveway? Cars pollute, congest the streets, and kill more people than assault weapons.

Why does Joe Citizen need alcohol? Alcohol is involved in way more deaths than guns each year.

Why does Joe Citizen need 2.5 kids? Dont we have a population problem?

Ban them all!

I think you are looking at the issue in a silo and not realizing there are other far reaching ramifications to 'just' banning guns. That's what swamp is pointing out and he is right about it. (I feel dirty admitting swamp has a point)

Those are not answers to my specific question.
