WHEN WILD BOARS ATTACK? Topic

Right, full circle. Agree it's not a guns problem per se, it's a mindset. Guns = rights = don't take my right away = ridiculous conversations about guns.

The discussions refer to them like they are clean running water, or food, or clean air.

Correct.  It's not so much that I want to own guns or, specifically, HCAW, I just don't want to cede more control to a government that I'm not sure does the right thing with any regularity.    And I damn sure don't want government goons going house to house collecting legally purchased firearms.

I'd also stop drinking the water, because fluoride is a way for them to control your essense.

Sorry, you can attempt to make it sound silly but it isn't.    Cultural differences.

Isn't it India that's having all the gang rape problems over the last couple of weeks?   Wasn't it suggested that the victim marry one of her rapists to make it all good?   How's their gun situation?

What's your golf handicap?
My inability to hit my driver straight.

True, and the West made that look silly. Because, in North America, there's no problem with sexual assault and gender equality.

I don't think we suggest marriage to the rapist.

Anyway, gun situation in India.  What is it?   How's their murder rate?

3.4 per 100000, .7 less than the US

I believe they have very strict requirements on gun ownership.    You know I looked this stuff up before I asked, right?   2009, 32k homocides, 3k by firearm.   They manage to kill a lot of people without guns.

I saw Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I know that.

Did you look up the population and population density of India while you were getting your facts? You are aware that India has 5x the population of the US, right?

Do you understand that they manage to kill almost 10x as many people without guns as they do with guns?

how many are mass murders? False equivalency. The focus now is to try and limit one particular type of murder, not all murder. I'd be satisfied if we applied the same standards to gun owners as we do to drivers. Fair enough?

How many "mass murders" occur in the US?   How many of those use HCAW?

I'm fine with registering all guns.  I'm fine with halting the manufacture/sale of HCAW.   My only problem is the proposal that current weapons would be confiscated.
