For ****'s sake.  YOU just quoted the post.

"So what?   Maybe society would be better off if some personal freedoms didn't exist."
So you're saying that maybe society would be better off if we outlawed jerking off all day?

Why are you insisting on using "illegal" and "outlawing"?

Do you think someone who spends all of his waking hours jerking off is a productive member of society?    After all, I'm sure he's quite happy and, by your definition, he isn't hurting anyone else.

Which one of these words confuses you?

Maybe
society
would
be
better
off
if
some
personal
freedoms
didn't
exist
7/9/2013 3:05 PM
How else would you suggest that we make those personal freedoms not exist?
7/9/2013 3:06 PM
The only thing I'm suggesting is that "makes people happy" and "doesn't hurt anyone else" are bad reasons to make laws.

Now, do you think someone who spends all of his waking hours jerking off is a productive member of society?    After all, I'm sure he's quite happy and, by your definition, he isn't hurting anyone else.
7/9/2013 3:13 PM
Exactly. And his behavior is perfectly legal because he isn't harming anyone else. Like gay marriage.
7/9/2013 3:40 PM
Except, as a non-productive member of society, he actually is hurting someone.    Well, society as a whole.   But, hey, he's as happy as a pig in **** and that's all that counts, right?
7/9/2013 3:47 PM
And who is being hurt by gay marriage?
7/9/2013 4:04 PM
The opposite-sex straight people who now don't get to marry the gay people?  Just trying to help.

You seem to have forgotten my point again.   I can't say I'm surprised but your big 3(makes people happy, more personal freedom and doesn't affect anyone else) are all bullshit.

Making people happy doesn't necessarily make a better society.
More personal freedom doesn't necessarily make a better society.
Doesn't affect anybody else is total bullshit because everything has some effect on society.

So why is SSM a good thing?

It's pretty basic, right?

You say jerking off all day harms everyone because the jerker isn't being a productive member of society.

That's either analogous or irrelevant to the question of whether or not allowing gay marriage harms anyone. If it's analogous, you should be able to give a clear example of how people are harmed like you did with jerking off.

If you can't give a clear answer, your jerking off circle jerk is irrelevant.

I'm betting on option 2.

Did you seriously forget what I posted after you quoted it?

I didn't forget. I'm saying your point is a retarded circle jerk, like you. There is no "make society better" requirement for something to be legal, as you've clearly demonstrated with the all day jerk-fest autobiography you posted.

But there is a "why not" question that needs to be answered if you want to tell someone else that they can't do something.

Still waiting for you to explain why watching child porn in the privacy of your own home is a bad thing.

It makes the watcher happy, it doesn't affect you, it doesn't force you to watch child porn, and it doesn't hurt anybody.

Yet I don't see you enthusiastically endorsing it, as you do gay marriage, for basically those same exact reasons.

What's up with that?

Do you think viewing child porn is harmless?
