Are you assuming that I was in favor of the Iraq War? Can you tell what else I am or am not in favor of?
Posted by stinenavy on 10/3/2013 3:45:00 PM (view original):So if there was a shutdown because the Dems wanted a gun control measure, you would blame both sides?

Posted by tecwrg on 10/3/2013 3:43:00 PM (view original):No. It's not OK to shutdown the government over gun control. Likewise, it's also not OK to shutdown the government over Obamacare.

The Senate Democrats voted it down, effectively shutting down the government. Over Obamacare. How can you say they had no part in the shutdown? They had an opportunity to avoid a shutdown. They chose Obamacare over keeping the government open. Do you really not understand that?

See? There's a lot of blame to go around. Not all on the GOP. Also, 57% of all those polled believe that Obamacare will make health care more expensive. Is that he goal of the ACA?

Something Democrats can't do. Just like the GOP wouldn't be able to vote a CR in with a huge tax increase. The party that puts the poison pill in the bill is the one that deserves the blame when the bill gets voted down.
