53-82-66-73, what would you expect playing this guy at 2B, he can hit so im thinking about it, but never done below 70-70 at 2B.  But with the low range, but high glove, I would think he could still play at second? thoughts? ever done it before?

Will you watch the HR Derby?

Any predictions for it?

Never even considered using a 53 at 2B.   I imagine he'll get a lot of negative plays but few errors.  And his RF will be low.

I check in but don't sit and watch for 3 hours(or however long it takes).   I predict I won't be watching when the winner is crowned.

Not yet.  But I may.

Do you have a simple description of what his company (with Mr. Haslam totally unawares... totally.... seriously) did to earn this settlement against it?

Flying J offers a rebate, something like a penny a gallon, if you're a registered member with them.  It's not a "At the pump" kind of thing, you're sent a card/check at a later date.  As best I can tell, they weren't sending the full amount to people.   While it sounds like nothing, it can add up quickly.   A truck burns about 500 gallons a week.   $5 x 52.   So it's only $260 a year.   But multiply that by hundreds of thousands and it's a small fortune that JH saves.

Have you ever gotten a star player in the second round of the draft? How about the third (or later)?
7/14/2014 5:41 PM
I guess it depends on your definition of "star".    I've had 3rd/4th/5th round picks have 7-8 year careers.  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Kory Diaz played 15.   I've had some 6th rounders make it thru an arb year.

With 2 players who are at or above the defensive recommendations for RF, would you rather the better defender at 1B or RF?
7/15/2014 10:43 AM
I'd put the rangier player at 1B or the better arm in RF.   Not sure how that relates to "better defender" in your book.

Am I taking my life into my own hands if I play a CF with 74 range?

I took over a new team, and they have a guy with 74 range and 94 glove. He's a lefty, so the infield isn't an option. I'd much rather spend my free agent $ on a starting pitcher and a shortstop. Can I still win with the low-range CF?

You'll end up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 negative plays.    Which is pretty much two extra bases in the OF.   40 extra bases given up.   You have to decide if the trade-off is worth it.   I get antsy when I use low 80s in CF.
