What are your thoughts on GD? Every so often I consider joining, but never do.

If I'm not mistaken, I only played one season.   I didn't enjoy recruiting and the game play just didn't feel right.    They've made some changes but I don't know if they were good or bad.   I know a bunch of people dropped it.

Why does 1969 Thurman Munson cost so much? (over $12,000 per plate appearance, exceeding 2009 Joe Maurer with his 1.004 OPS#, to name one)

Everybody loves The Walrus, coo-coo-ca-choo.    Probably defensive ratings.

Is Gridiron Dynasty successful? Football is a lot less statistically-oriented. Box scores aren't a big deal, so it seems to me a football game that does nothing but generate stats wouldn't be incredibly popular.

It's still around and was updated earlier this year.    11-12 worlds, 10-11 conferences, 12 teams per conference.    If they play at 70% live owners, it's close to 1000 people playing it.

If this guy was in the majors, what do you think his stolen base/caught stealing numbers would look like? 85 speed, 19 baserunning.

Steve Grace is an excellent comp; 87 SPD 19 BR.  34 of 77 lifetime MLB with teams that don't run much.  I run all my minor league teams at 5 basestealing just to see what guys can do... Grace was 19 of 45 for my AA team in just over 162 games, so he'd be even worse than that at the big league level.

OK with the redlining of this post as it is not a question, but hoping arcticlegend sees it first.

would you say you had sitemail from me?

Anything special you'd like to say to me today?  Perhaps accompanied by a brightly decorated baked good, festooned with candles?  Any songs come to mind?

That is not a question.

Not anymore.

You're in charge of redlines.

Nope.  Nope.  Tiny Dancer by Elton John.

I saw the post, Dedelman. Thanks for the information. Sounds like my player would be a disaster on any team that runs.

Question for Mike: what do you think is the maximum number of HBD teams a person could have and manage successfully, assuming said person has a life (family, full-time job, hobbies, etc.). I think I've maxed out at about 6-7, but I see some people with 10-15, and that seems like it'd be really tough to keep them all going.
Tough to keep track of player names after a while.

4 is about half a team too many for me.    I've had up to 7 and it seemed like a job.    But I imagine it's the level of involvement that makes the biggest difference.  I'm pretty hands on with my minors.    If one were to just set them on Simmy and let it run, I guess 7-8 would be manageable.  I'm not sure there's a scenario, other than "waiting to fill", where 15 is manageable.

I just passed post 4000 and it feels like I've been yappin' more than that. Quality over quantity?

Obviously not.  Your prison stint hurts your numbers.
