One would have to assume so.

I've got these three guys to fill out 2B, 3B and CF and I've got these three players...

Flores

Feng

Edwards

Who would you play where?

Edwards in CF(he could play 2B if you decide another route), Feng on 2nd, Flores at 3B(lowest range).    Feng could play CF but I think his arm would be more valuable at 2B.

I'm trying to fix one of my teams that I feel underperformed last season. I think the greatest room for improvement is in my defense. So my question is this... By moving some guys around, by my estimation...

I can save 13 errors, gain 36 + plays and have 21 less - plays over the course of a season...

but in order to do that I'd have to replace one player in my lineup with a career OPS of .842 with another guy who has a career OPS of .752 (both players have 50/50-ish in speed/baserunning so that is a wash)...

Is the defense gained worth the offense lost?

(I hope that all made sense...)

I'd trade .090 points of OPS for 70 extra outs if I wasn't offensively challenged with the rest of my line-up.

since one of my primary catchers is on the 60 day dl and the other one wasn't on the 40 when playoff rosters day came, I'm starting the playoffs with one catcher. if that guy gets injured (and goes on the dl), I can still only bring one catcher up to replace him for the rest of the playoffs, yes?
10/23/2014 7:23 AM
and to go along with that, would you rather have a dh-ish type who can hit but not pitch call or throw much be your catcher or a defensive specialist/no bat guy for the playoffs?
10/23/2014 7:25 AM
You can only add players between series.   You could add 10 catchers between the LDS and LCS(assuming you removed 10 other players).

Depends on my team.   If I have plenty of hitting, D-spec.   If I have a no-hit SS/2B/CF, I can't afford a 4th hole in the line-up so I bring in the basher.

My HBD club is 6 GB of the division lead and in the last wild card spot (one game lead) at the all-star break. We are pitching challenged and according to our expected winning percentage, have over achieved.

My question is, should I make a deal as the trade deadline nears or wait another season when my team should be ready to make a run? It seems we're a season ahead of schedule.

I alwasy think, if you're in contention at the break, that you should try to make your team better now.   Maybe not deal a player who's in your plans for next season but some 2nd year player who won't help for another 2-3 seasons.

For Week 8

Foles or Rivers at QB?

Which two of Mike Wallace, Keenan Allen or Doug Baldwin at WR?

Kelce, McKinnon, or third WR from above at Flex?
10/23/2014 11:10 AM

I think SD will be chasing Denver so Rivers as he'll throw more.

Mike Wallace will be busy doing 60 Minutes but I'd play him and Allen(see above).   Seattle is playing a 1 PM game on the East Coast.  That's usually bad for WC teams.

I thought Kelce was hurt.  McKinnon could sit next to me during dinner and I wouldn't know who he was but TB is awful.  I'd go with him.

What if he wore one of those stickers that says "Hello, my name is ________________"?
10/23/2014 11:29 AM
Well, I'd know his name but I'd have to ask him what he does for a living.
