I think players stagnate if they remain at the same level too long.   I have no problem leaving a guy in AA for two seasons and moving him to AAA but I'm not sure I'd keep a guy in AAA for his entire minor league career.

Does the injury bug only work if you place a player on the 60 day DL or can you keep him on the 15 day DL and still gain the benefits?

He'll recover on the 15 DL but I'm not sure he'll keep getting recovery cycles after the first one.  I haven't seen it.

Patience ratings will determine if a player will re-sign with you?  My two best players are saying "with free agency looming lets wait till next year" .  I want to know if I should be expecting life without them, or could they re-sign.

It does. 

What would you do?  I took over a team right after spring training. I had to sign 40-50 minor league free agents/players to fill my rosters. Many of the good/top free agents were obviously gone. I have some young solid  prospects in the minors that are better than some of my ML players. Would you bring them up to give them experience? I have a weak staff and do not see any contention this season. Would it be too stupid to bring them up now?  

Tough to say with limited info.   I assume it's the Pitt team.   87 wins would get you a playoff spot(judging from last season's records).   If the young guys can make your team good enough to get 80+ wins, I give it a shot.  If not, it's sort of pointless.   You really have to evaluate your team and the contenders in your league.
