If you had to choose which Defensive position to let go would it be CF or SS? I have to rearrange after some trades and this is what I got.

            rng  glv  AS  AA
P1       84    79   60  66
P2       82    82   82  81
P3       93    85   96  90

Which would you put at CF SS and 2B?

He'll be near double digits in both.   Nothing horrible like 18 but between 8-13 for both.

P3 at SS, better hitter at CF as they'll produce pretty similar numbers.   If I'm skimping at a position defensively, I choose to do so at SS last.

P1 in CF and P2 at 2B. (range in CF/glove at 2B) .

Why would you look at hitting at all?

Do IF fatigue faster than OF?

Uh, the question was SS/CF    Not sure where you're getting 2B from.   You seem to be playing your own game.

As 2B WAS NOT an option, one could assume he's set there so you have to decide on CF.   I'd use hitting to decide.  Like I said.

His question was two-fold. Which position would you skimp on CF or SS?
Then he ended the post with:
Which would you put at CF SS and 2B?

I get your answer now, that you were disregarding the second part of the question.

Do you frown on those who choose to play their own game?

Ha.  Yeah, I didn't read the last sentence.    P2 is going to play 2B for me.

At times.

Just for fun, I signed this guy.

He has a shoulder injury, and he'll be on the DL until the last 17 games of the season. If I keep him on the 60 day DL until the playoff roster deadline, do you think the DL bug will bring him anywhere near his ratings from last season? Would it be better I I keep him on the DL all season and try to use him next year?

I have $16 in medical.

No, he won't get near last season's ratings but he'll be useful after 2 injury recovery cycles.   Start using him once your get a Regular Season cycle.   He'll decline again in the off-season.

i know you don't believe in closers for hbd. for that reason, would you set a reliever at 'any' for which inning available or do you save them for the later innings as a rule?
3/5/2015 8:00 AM
I usually set my best one, maybe two depending on their DUR/STM combo, for 7th/8th.   I want them pitching late because I don't want to burn them in the 4th inning of a 9-2 game.    As SuA, 7th-8th entry, they'll only pitch if the game isn't out of hand.   If it is, SuB will pitch instead.

In HBD have you ever seen a tie-breaker go to 'coin flip?' How does it work/look? Do you just get a message from Admin saying 'you won/lost the coin flip?' Would you prefer the one game playoff like in MLB?
3/5/2015 11:42 AM
I haven't.   That seems to be such a remote possibility that it's not possible.    And, if someone lost a "coin flip", I imagine we'd have seen a thread talking about how it's complete bullshit.

What role would you use this pitcher in? http://whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=5135383
3/6/2015 10:50 PM
He could start with a 60/70 PC but, because he has 3 pitches, I'd probably use him at LR with 50/60 PC.

Do you have to pay your drivers extra to wipe people's *****, or is that just understood by them to be a normal part of their job?
