i took over a team in season 2 of a merge. have a guy who had a big salary last season. wants an even bigger one this season. is there a way to know if this is the last chance to arb him with only being able to see last season's salary? other than asking if anybody in the world remembers/knows? or should i just sign him long term if i think he's worth it regardless?

I don't know that I've ever used a 28 but I've used low 30s and the most errors my 1B have had on my long-term teams(Coop/MG) is 5. He'd be a disaster in RF with that range and arm.
