He is one of the better owners. He is also very helpful to those who ask for help.
He is not alone in the opinion that new owners shouldn't make a trade at all in their first couple of seasons. It is a view held by many.
It isn't arrogant or whatever, it is simply the experience of having played the game for several years, and having seen first hand the damage done to so many worlds by so many newbie owners, who come in, make some poor moves, learn from their mistakes, and eventually realize what a mess their team is in and then bail..
I will concede your point about "private worlds". If you CHOSE to sign up for THAT public world, then have at it.
You most certainly aren't the first to make a lopsided trade in that world, and I can assure you there have been far worse.
That is why the competition in private worlds is so much better.
