Just cracks me up that every 3 months or so the same unbalanced worlds are 8-15 owners short of filling and you hear the same people whining and complaining that WIS doesnt advertise enough..   There isnt enough Tards to fill all of the Tard worlds..
You could argue that unbalanced worlds make new players leave HBD prematurely..  I know that I would be a little discouraged if I started out with a ****** up team in a ****** up world as my 1st taste of HBD..

Banks world has been taken over by me, and I've added a theme, and renamed it.  The 15 current openings are a reflection of a "shuffling" that is going on.   I have a waitlist of people that should bring that number down soon enough.

You also let your bro in and anyone who knows how he "saved" HBD won't join it.  Good job?

Public worlds with more than 8 openings should be killed if they take longer than 2-3 weeks to fill.
Private worlds that sit for a month should automatically become public if they have 8+ openings..

Eckersley, Camp, USMLB, Buckner, Duff Beer should be killed.. the players from these worlds should be given the option to combine into a New World. They should be given a free season if they have been in an abolished world for more than a few seasons..
What's the endgame?
The end game is that the worlds would go away and thats 40 less openings each rollover.
Or, possibly, the guy whose world closes says "**** this" and withdraws from his two other leagues.

For every action, there is a reaction.    Know what it is before acting.

192 openings, this is rather insane. It's time to start shutting worlds down

Less than a week later, 72 openings if you remove the 4 worlds with double digits.    If you insist on counting them, 116 openings.    For the math challenged, that's 76 spots filled in 5 1/2 days.

Panic anyone?

I just counted and total openings is ~158.

I'm curious for those in the 'sky is falling' camp. Does WIS plan annoucment of an HBD update and major marketing campaign change your outlook at all?
10/25/2012 5:58 PM
Announcements are easy to make. Is the sky falling? Nahh...the game is just getting a bit stale. Why not make the credit good for when the update actually comes out?

I guess we should ***** about the lack of updates more often

Interesting that kschoenberg counted 158 yesterday (I remember counting about the same).
Today, we're down to 132 (which is promising.. amazing what a $5 discount will do for you... or a $5 first season for your alias!).

But the odd thing... 26 teams are gone, but no leagues have rolled over in the past 24 hours. There were 3 leagues at 86 days yesterday... today those same 3 are at 85 days, with none at 86.

Anyone else find it odd that 26 teams have been "claimed" in the past 24 hours, but no worlds have rolled over? Sure, its mathematically possible... just strikes me as unusual.

kschoenberg posted the list from when he made his count - if you care, it would pretty easy to compare it to what's out there now...
10/26/2012 4:17 PM
But at first glance, I see two worlds, WIB and Duff Beer, which have filled since then but evidently haven't had the button pushed to start the new season yet.

It'll be interesting to see how many one and done owners we will see after the $5 first season wraps up
10/26/2012 5:49 PM

You mean when the aliases bail?
