An owner in my World made an interesting comment regarding the OPS in our World as it compares to others, and I was wondering whether people would be willing to post the ML-wide team average OPS of the last completed season for your own Worlds.

Last 4

Coop:   .735, .725, .719, .719
MG:  .724, .733. .729, .737
Greenberg: .760, 744, 741, 771
Mantle:  724, 727, 736, 740

I assume you're thinking there's a trend.   I don't see it.

Coop is normally heavy pitching.    But we had one owner lose control of his pitching early(6.23 ERA) and he never got it straight.  MWR casualty.

Greenberg is an open world.

MG stay within a .013 range.

Mantle is trending downward.

Lots of turnover in Greenberg, very little in the other three.

Is it safe to assume Greenberg is the least competitive (from your POV as an experienced owner) of the 4?

By far.

Open world, 7-10 different owners each season, more than a few one and dones, possible alias use.

If you're asking "Why?", I believe it's because offense is easy and a lot less complicated than pitching.   And a lot of the newer owners don't understand the value of defense.   So they load up on the hitters and try to find a place in the field for them.    Sort of "How bad can 63 range be at SS?  Dude's gonna hit 30 homers!!!!"

American Pastime  .731
Kinsella  .723

Satchel Paige  .728

My fifth world, Major Leagues, is already in your list.

All five of these worlds are well established private worlds with very little turnover and an experienced group of GMs.

MikeT got right to zbrent's point which is that "good" worlds will have a lower OPS.

I'm not sure which world I compared Greenberg to but Greenberg averaged 6 more negative plays, 6 more errors and 13 less positive plays than one of my other three.   Add that up and you've got an extra 800 outs "given" away in Greenberg.    I'm sure someone smarter than me can figure out how much that effects OPS.

Numbers might be a little skewed due to mostly extreme parks being used.

zbrent, the first number listed was the most recent for my worlds.
