How can I lose 7 games in a row to a inferior team Topic

I had the second best record going into the seven game series.  This guy swept me our first series (3 to 0), and then swept me in a SEVEN GAME SERIES. Prior to the series I was 32-17......mine after is 32-24.  So I am 32-14 vs the rest of the league, but for some reason 0-10 vs him?  Even after the series of a 7 game winning streak he is only 33-23.....so in games against other teams, he is 23-23, yet he is 10-0 vs me?  In my opinion, he has a decent team, but I think that my team is better, and should easily have won at least 3 games vs him.....this seems like such bull **** to me.....

Here are our teams...

Flip a coin.    If you flip it 7 times, you should get 3-4 heads, 3-4 tails, right?    But, if you flip it often enough, you'll get 7 heads or 7 tails.

Except the coin should be weighted in a direction since it is based on ratings and both teams are not equal.  In addition, since starting pitchers are better and worst than others, the weight of the coin would change every game.  In my opinion, the coin should have been weighted in my favor for most of the games.  To lose 10 total games to him and win 0 is a bit ridiculous to me, and 7 in a row screams BS.

OK, you don't like my answer.   Flip a coin often enough and it will come up heads 50 times in a row.    Is that weighted enough for you?

Or, better yet, tell me the response you want to hear.

I think someone needs a lesson in what 7 events mean in terms of statistics and the law of large numbers.

You can say what you will, but this is about the smallest of sample sizes.

Matt Diaz has the NL record for consecutive hits with 10.  He's a career .290 hitter.  Something that happens 29% of the time happened 10 straight times.  Calm down.

That screams BS.    Are you sure that happened?

Individual accomplishments don't translate to team accomplishments.....I've tried to find something like this in real life for teams but can't.

You can't find an inferior team that beat a better team 7 straight times? Give me a few minutes.

In 2012, the White Sox lost 6 straight and 7 of 8 to the Royals.

Good enough? Or does it need to be 7 straight?

Just popped in my head so I looked it up - In 2011, the Yankees lost 7 straight games to Boston.  Boston went 12-6 against the Yankees that year.  I remember how sports talk was making such a big deal about how Boston owned the Yankees that year.  And then, you know, beer and chicken.

Are you sure that happened?  Because it screams of BS!!

Good enough for me.

Mike why don't you go accomplish something outside of WIS.   Maybe you wont be such a douche.  Or maybe you tried and failed and that is why you are one?

Yeah, Mike.  Stop being a douche.  Get a friggin' life.  LOSER!
