Do the more difficult MWR rules mentioned have any effect on your leagues ability to keep teams long term or get a quick rollover?  These are the biggest concern for the world , at least to me, and the MWR is the second step that has been taken to improve the overall health of the world.  At the end of last season a blog was vcreated and is reguraly updated with content which has been a great help.  Are there other measures that could be taken to help?

MG and Coop generally roll on Day 1 with a waitlist.    MWR isn't for everyone but there seems to be plenty of owners who want to know they're competing with others trying to win(at least to some extent) on a somewhat level playing field.    MWR won't stop tanking but it limits the extremes.   Overall, I think it leads to a more competitve world and that's what I think most want from their internet game.

I always say some will play Madden on rookie in order to win 77-3 and have a fine time.   I think most of those people are the ones who fight MWR and are more likely to use an alias to build a franchise.

The downside, of course, is that you lose owners that may have met a bad run of luck.   But you shouldn't be unlucky for 4 straight seasons.

What about budget restraints? Say 20 mil max in IFA.

I just care about wins and losses.   If you can win 55/125/195/280, and it rolls together meaning S1-S4 become S2-S5, with a 30m payroll and 50m in prospect, good for you.

Does the pressure of the MWR, get new owners to a league, into making bad decisions for the long run

The worst decisions come when they need 80ish wins in S4.   Desperation moves.   But those only occur if they were just bad, not planning, in the other three seasons.

We are just trying to keep the world from taking 3 months to fill. We don't need all this crazy **** to turn something that I spend 15 minutes a day on into a part time job.

Why would it turn into a part-time job?

Killebrew NY2 Mutts 14 $40.8M 37-125 (.228)

Hehe.

FWIW, it takes me about 10 minutes to produce MWR numbers.   And, since there's no long, drawn out voting process if someone misses the MWR, it takes me about 10 seconds to say "Sorry, dude.  You can re-apply after a season off" to move on.   It's hardly a part-time job.

Never denied that I tanked. To me, this is a dynasty game and in order to build a dynasty you need great prospects. Ill be milking my 4 tanked seasons for the next 8 highly competitive ones.

PS it wasn't easy. The 2nd worst team that year won 38 games.

Why would it turn into a part-time job?
Monitoring another teams talent at the ML level, comparing it to his Ml ready talent level in the minors; adding win totals from multiple years; comparing and contrasting the team he fielded vs what he could've done with some (marginally) better FA signings etc etc.

That's only if you vote on banishment.  If you say "Win 50 or beat it", it takes 3 seconds.

What Mike said.  You go with a hard requirement:  you meet it and stay or you miss it and leave.  It's quick and objective and extremely easy to manage.

I have a spreadsheet that does all the calculations for the 2, 3, and 4 year requirements.  Just have to plug in the latest season's win totals to recalculate the targets for next season.  Takes 5 minutes.  10 minutes if I'm interrupted.
