Did I miss something about RF defense?  Why is Takahiro Hasegawa earning a - play about every 5 games so far in RF.  Its roughly about one of every 6 times he touches the ball.  His glove is a little weak, so I could understand errors, but he actually doesn't have that.  My understanding is that - plays have more to do with range and AS.  However, he should be fine on that.  I don't really want to slide him down to 1B, but I will if that is my only alternative.

That was my initial impression too, but 5 is as many as I would expect (or fewer) for the whole season so I thought I'd better check.

All five of his - plays in RF this season have been on bloop singles to RF.  That, to me, indicates range.  His range seems to be right at the recs, so it does seem like an unusually high number of - plays, even with a SSS.

It means small sample size.

He's near the top in range factor.  I wouldn't sweat it.
