Far too many times, you'll see someone ask "Why does this pitcher/my staff suck?" and find that their defense is crap. It starts at SS. A formula I use to determine fielding effectiveness:

total is the key. SS and 2B get far more chances than any other position per inning. Even in the positions with more than 1 player getting in excess of 100 innings, they still line up almost perfectly. SS, 2B, 3B, CF, LF, RF. It would be perfect, and still might be, if
