Pitcher 3  Durability- 29 Stamina 84 accuracy-93 VL67 VR 67 P1 93 P2-89 P3-67 P4-49 P5-18

Assuming all else is equal (age, scouting, handedness etc) I'd go 2, 4, 1, and then 3. But don't think you could really go wrong with any but the third guy.

I'd go 1, 2, 4, then 3.
Pitcher 1 gets the edge over 2 and 4 due to his stamina. If pitchers 2 and 4 don't reach their stamina potential, or decline early in their careers, they may not always be starters. Definitely wont be able to go as deep in games as pitcher 1.

make sure you double check if these are high school or college players and check where you put your money into with scouting. If that is all good.... my humble opinion is that you get more innings with #1 but I like #2 and #4 ratings a little better. #3 in last place here as well.

Agree with outlaw for the same reason he stated; agree with chisox that the likelihood they'll reach those ratings is way more important than the difference among the ratings, at least among 1, 2, and 4.

If you have a high draft pick, you need to go with the workhorse ace type. That's number 1. My only concern with him is that if he doesn't reach his VL total, he could get hit by lefties. But other than that, he'll give you a ton of innings, and his vR will overpower righties. Number 3 could give you innings, but he looks like a #3/4 starter at best. 2 would be my second choice. He could pitch 180- 200 innings if you're lucky, and he's got good skill ratings. 4 won't have the durability to be a frontline starter.

As the others said, the age, current ratings and scouting budgets make a difference. If this guy is 22 and his first pitch is currently 65, he'll never get to 86, for example.

By the way, I'm assuming your "accuracy" numbers refer to control, not arm accuracy, right?

correct.  Wasn't sure about how the high pitch would offset the low VL/VR or even though a guys stamina is 15 points lower, with higher VL/VR would offset the stamina issue..

Considering the fact that this is a dynasty game, the other thing you want to look at is patience. A rating over 70 guarantees that you get to keep the guy on your team at a reasonable salary for his entire career. That could be the deciding factor for me in choosing between 1,2, and 4. Patience being equal, my preferred order would be 1, 2, 4 as the quality differences are negligible so i would opt for more innings.

I'm still learning things here, so I want to ask:  am I the only one bothered by #1's P2 rating of 60?  That's pretty bad for an expected frontline starter.  Will the rest of his attributes make up for it?

The concern should be the projections.   If 1-3-4 get in the ballpark, he'll be fine.   Guys with 4 pitches over 50 do much better than you'd expect.

It would be super helpful if WIS would just publish the pitcher-batter algorithm so that we could scientifically define precisely how valuable 1 unit of vsR is vs 1 unit of control, 1 unit of P2, etc.

What fun is that?    The fun of the game is figuring out how to use players.

To put it another way, using my formula, Camp was always the "worst" pitcher on my team.   I tweaked and tweaked and Wagner is not the "worst" pitcher on my team using the formula.

Look at Camp.   WW pick-up.   Gave me 500+ innings of better than league average innings at a max of 378k a year.   "Finding" players like that is what this game is about.
