5+4+3+2+1 = 15 votes.  Times 2 (10+8+6+4+2) gives you 30 votes.  The extra two votes go to the top two guys to give you a result of 11-9-6-4-2.

Yeah, I was going to dig into the numbers to see what, exactly, simmy values in candidates.     Might provide some insight to the game itself.

In this case, it's just a reflection of how simmy already ranked the five candidates from 1-5.  When you look at the awards page in-season after game 125 or so, whenever they first show up, they're already ranked and will move up, down, in or out based on how their stats change from day to day.

Tracking how they move in the rankings over those final 35 games or so based on changing stats might give a fair amount of insight for those with (a) the desire and patience to track it, and (b) the ability to analyze the correlation between changes in stats and changes in the rankings.

Just a guess on how the uncast votes actually get distributed by simmy (number is the rank in the list of each of the five candidates at voting time):

1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-1-2-1-1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-1-2-1-1-2.

Or maybe not.  Who knows.

As far as how simmy ranks the candidates, for MVP it seems to be basically runs created with a boost for + plays on defense. Which is why in my world that recently started the WS, thanks to simmy a + fielding 1B will be winning the award over an average fielding 2B when the 2B had a slight edge in RC.

This is so frustrating.  I had a guy who almost certainly would have won the Cy Young that got screwed because the guy ahead of him had way more innings pitched.  Come on WIS!

Still wondering when the fix is coming...

It looks like one owner was able to vote in LOCO, which simmed Game 1 of the World Series in the PM cycle, so that might be a sign that they fixed it very recently. 

Hmmm...not convinced that wasn't still simmy after looking at some of the other recent world's results.  I doubt anything has been done yet.
