Hi guys, I just took over the Branch Rickey world and am doing all I can to make this the most enjoyable world I can. I have already asked all the guys who will be staying and going and since I have a few guys leaving I want to start a topic to get this world filled as fast as possible. If you join I guarantee I will do my best to make this the bestleague you have joined and keep it rolling so there will be no wait times for rollover. If you are interested in joining us this upcoming season let me know and I will make a list and then post the teams on this topic for you to see the open teams we have before joining. Most teams are just a few players away from a playoff run and there isnt that one team in this world that stands above the rest, it is a very competitive league and Im sure you all will love it. Here are the rules...

(1) If an owner loses more than 200 games in two straight seasons, they will be put on probation where they must win 72 games in the next season or be removed from the league.

(2) Your prospect budget cannot exceed $20M at any time. That means the most you can spend in one season on draft picks and international free agents is 20m. So you won't see that big IFA go for 25m. It adds more strategy for those owners that like to spend big $$ on IFA's.

(3) Teams must remain in their current city. Owners may change the team nickname.

Of course HBD fairplay rules will be enforced


1) This is a good rule for every world and we give a probation season to where if you lose 200 in two seasons in most leagues your out. If it looks like you are tanking on purpose by making bad trades or contracts the person will be removed before then.

2) Number 2 is the best rule a league could have so that way everyone is eligible to get that IFA everyone wants and not spend a buttload of money to get him.

3) sometimes everyone comes up with a better name then they currently have, we allow you to change your team name as long as you stay at your current city.

We are currently 3 games away from the playoffs.

To let you know how competitive this world is, I took over a team that was 14 games out of 1st place last season and finished 4th in the division, currently this season my team in 9 games ahead in 1st place of the division so any team can be turned quick in this world.

1) Can you post the available teams?
2) When you say no changing cities, does that mean (for example) the previous owner was in Tacoma, now I have to be? Or does it mean I can move the franchise to Houston, but 10 seasons from now, I can't move it out?

1) I will post all teams when available (after the season rolls over) and a 1st come 1st serve on the teams.

2) No you can selet any city you want to when starting, I will talk to the others in the world and get their input on moving teams. We may set a certain timeframe on when you can move cities instead of staying put in one city the whole time.

Yet another new WS winner in the just finished season. Well balanced world.
