Double Mendoza is a private world with a couple of additional rules designed to encourage competition and an even playing field.

1. Player payroll budget must not exceed $100m.
2. Owners losing 200 games or more over the course of 2 seasons will be removed from the league.

Because of these rules DM rarely sees teams going far over the 100 win/loss mark, and traditionally it has been a world with low owner turnover.

Lots of appealing teams available, including a rebuild that has the number one pick!  Come join!

This year really is an outlier, usually we have super fast turnarounds. It's a great league!

Just echoing what these guys have said, we have a good time. This season we had an unusually high departure rate and it came right when I(the commish) had to travel for work...in a series of ice storms. A couple of seasons ago we had a 32/32 on returning owners.

First year owners are not subject to the 200 loss rule, you've got 3 years to make your mark with even the crappiest of teams...but if you want to step into an established franchise those are available too. Possibly the most well-run franchise in league history remains available in Salem. They've been a contender for over a decade now.
