The playoffs are starting and we will soon be moving to season 36 in Mays. We're a drama free world with a great base of owners. We do have one league rule aimed at preventing tanking - 120 win floor over any two year period, after which a majority vote determines next steps. Fortunately, it rarely occurs.
Next season we have the following confirmed openings; feel free to relocate if you want:
Scranton Breakers - AL North - 78-84 - Long time owner has been there for 13 seasons but is taking a break from HBD so this team is available. The team had a recent competitive run with several consecutive winning seasons and a few playoff berths, however the last two years have resulted in losing campaigns. Payroll is relatively low (63M this season) and a full 30M was spent on prospects, signaling an eye for the future.
Santa Fe Firestorm - AL South - 58-104 - third straight losing season after a sustained run of success prior. This season brought some real struggles with over 100 losses and $100M committed to payroll. This is a probably a rebuild situation, with plenty of veteran contracts to move. Will have one of the top picks in the draft, depending on tie break scenarios.
Pawtucket Red Roosters - NL East - 74-88 - under same management for the past 21 seasons, the current owner has had trouble committing enough time and has decided to move on. Competitive for a very long time, the past six seasons have brought challenges for this squad. Incoming owner should have some flexibility with payroll and presumably some prospects following several losing seasons.
Ottawa ndps - NL North - 66-96 - prior to losing 96 games this year, the franchise had nine straight .500 or better seasons, so this was an uncharacteristically down season. There's some talent here, but it is aging and the incoming owner will need to decide whether to make some win-now moves or deal off the vets and build for the future.
Please sitemail train with interest.
