BUCKS : 37-41, stupid trade made Topic

Rumors floating around that the Bucks are willing to listen to offers for Brandon Jennings.

trade Jennings if they can get a veteran player who can play.  No draft picks.

Bleacherreport.com put together 10 trades that would work under the cap, several of which saw the Bucks re-acquiring former players such as Steve Blake, Richard Jefferson, and Mo Williams. Some of the bigger names included were Chris Paul, Ron Artest, Tony Parker and Gerald Wallace. Most of the potential trades involved Jennings, Salmons and Dooling from the Bucks' side. No word on whether any of the teams mentioned actually have an interest in Jennings.

Bucks dump two bad contracts on draft day, sending John Salmons back to Sacramento and Corey Maggette to Charlotte.. they also ship the #10 pick to Sacramento and acquire Stephen Jackson, Shaun Livingston, and Beno Udrih along with Pick #19 (which they use to select Tobias Harris).

Captain Jack will give the team someone willing to take the last shot, something they didn't necessarily have last season (which often led to Brandon Jennings throwing up a desperation heave as the shot clock wound towards zero). Udrih and Livingston provide much better insurance against an injury to Jennings than Keyon Dooling and Earl Boykins did in '10-'11.

Captain Jack wants an extension, reportedly.

Well, it looks like the NBA is back. Arrggghh. Bucks' first order of business will presumably be trying to resign restricted free agent Mbah a boute. Finding a backup center will be on the "to do" list as well.

Ersan Ilyasova's Turkish team doesn't want to let him return this season. He is still under contract to the Bucks. No negotiations have been reported yet between the Bucks and the Turkish team.

Bucks preseason moves:

Keyon Dooling traded to Boston for a 2nd-round pick

Mike Dunleavy signed

Denver's offer sheet to LRMAM matched.

All your Keyon Dooling are belong to us, froggy

Enjoy!

Apparently there exist people who invested the time to piece together Keyon Dooling mixes on youtube.

Who woulda thunk it?

Cap'n Jack wants an extension!

Bucks should give it to him, doubt the $20M over the next 2 years is going to feed his kids anyhow.

Bucks crushed in first preseason game, as Ricky Rubio thoroughly outplays Brandon Jennings. Shocking.
12/19/2011 12:28 PM
the Bucks chances of winning a title this year didn't change when the lockout ended

You can stop reading as any part of this sounds familiar:

Bucks take early 10-point lead in Charlotte, have horrible third quarter to blow said lead, make late but ultimately futile rally and lose by one.

Except for the name of the opponent, I should be able to copy and paste that sentence a lot this year.
