Well I should give Rondo some credit, too.  You know that guy that neither felon nor deano wants on their team

Rondo has been playing out of his mind in the playoffs.  Totally in backpack mode.

The refs completely and utterly favored Miami in game 2, just hope that it's normal riggage instead of extreme riggage tomorrow.

Agreed.  In both games in Boston, they were terribly called games for both teams.  Unlike in MIA, where the heat got 5 of 6 calls.

i think the refs favored the celtics a little bit in boston, like in the sense that's normal for playoff homecourt.  miami was just way overboard, and i am already mentally bracing myself for a redux of that tonight.

Please.  The Celt's only winning tactic so far is to foul on every offensive and defensive possession, knowing they can't all be called.   Imagine how much fouling has to happen for Pierce to foul out IN BOSTON, not to mention in 2 of the 4 games.

since when is Rondo's face part of the ball? that was game over, right there

and I already offered the Pau trade for Rondo again and Deano was eager so count me out (or all in) and....

Booom

troof

(I would do Kobe for Pierce and Rondo right now in a heartbeat)

LOL at Heat. Spoelstra deserves a firing.

Agreed Stine.  Miami completely relies on raw talent, their coaching is terrible.  Congrats to Boston for coming back and playing great-a total team effort.

Mia has no quality bigs nor a pg right now.

Might as well start the engraver now.  OKC won't get stopped by either the Heat or Celts.

Heh, we don't want your old Mamba.  Interestingly because Pierce is like impervious to age, the gap between him and Kobe has seemed to be slowly closing in recent years.  Kobe's still better but it's not by so much that it would ever be worth shipping Rondo.

I'm so happy now.  Moranis, I hope you have something to say for your million requests to blow this team up.

I don't know.  Don't get me wrong, if OKC I'm ready to get my **** and and celebrate a ship.  But the Spurs can still come back, and you never know what will happen.  I really don't believe that the Celtics will beat the Thunder if they close out the Heat, but this team is always full of surprises so I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.

that's the problem with Kobe at this point (and the last big contract of the old cba) - for what he's paid you could have close to 2 max guys under the new terms - is he worth 2 max guys? not even close

yeah exactly, we don't even gain any cap space by unloading Pierce + Rondo for him.

between his contract + the super tax the Lakers are in a bit of a compromising position going forward- kupcheck is def going to need to moneyball it up a bit.

Trading Pau Gasol for Rajon Rondo would be about as bad for Boston as trading Pau Gasol for Kevin Love (which you suggested near the beginning of the season) would be for Minnesota.
6/7/2012 12:08 AM
i doubt that

it was a rumor that we've played with here I never suggested it as plausible
