"Perhaps but it's value is absolute.  1m is 1m but a 1m salary could be an all-star or a complete turd.   I have no idea what value you will get from that cash so how can I determine if the trade is fair with that cash included?"    Or something like that.   Either way, it's not the same thing.

Is there any work-around for the budgetary restrictions of future seasons?  I can't sign anyone to a long term deal because 3 years from now (season 35), my team's salary will be higher than allowed.  Even though I will have plenty of money in 3 years to cover all the contracts, right now I'm limited to $69 million for season 35.

I'm pretty sure increasing current season payroll will increase future season payroll.   But it's limited to the same percentage.

There's an IFA in Buckner/Feller that "probably won't sign" and is demanding $18M. Should I offer him $10M and call his bluff?

Are you super pumped about the Raider this season and their new QB? Will the Raiders have to install the "PIck 6" into their playbook to play to his strengths?
7/29/2014 12:21 PM
You could.  Don't think you'll get him.   But, once he signs, I'd like to see him as I've never seen an 18m demand.

I am.   I don't know what they call the play but, when Schaub releases the ball, all the players turn and run towards the goal line behind him.

If a player gets waived and later gets releases (he still shows up on the WW) can he still be claimed or not?
7/29/2014 3:10 PM
If he's on the WW, he can be claimed.

Dumb question I should know the answer to - do demotion penalties apply when demoting 40 man call ups during the playoffs of the same season?
7/30/2014 8:12 AM
They do not.   Assuming he was a roster expansion call-up.   If you called a player up mid-season and try to demote during the playoffs, he might take a hit.

would you say you do not have any sitemail from me?
7/31/2014 8:19 AM
That would be a correct statement.

How do you think this 18 year old CF International Free Agent will turn out?  Do you think he'll be able to reach at least 3/4's of the way to his projections.  I'm not sure that a link will work for IFA's, so I'll list the current and projected attributes.  I have 14M in international scouting and 15M in advanced scouting.

I don't think 84 range is good enough for CF.   If he's RH, he can play 2B.  If he's LH, you've got a potential GG LF who doesn't carry a LF bat.

Assuming he finishes 75/60/81/51/70, which is halfway, he's still a solid BL player.   But not good enough for LF at the plate or CF in the field.   Kind of a tweener.

will having only  2 pitches, low rating on a 3rd hurt this starter. So far he has been lit up this season in his first few starts.

1st pitch    85   projected 85       sinker
2nd pitch   63   projected 70       curve
3rd pitch    28   projected 35      slider

control  70    projected 90
stamina 88   projected 90
rh/lh      76/79    projected 78/79
