what does he do for a living?

Piques kermit's interest.

I forget what to do in this situation;

I designated a guy on revokable waivers.  He was not claimed.  I try to assign him to any level, yet it's declined.  Does that mean he did not accept assignment to the minors?  I can't assign this guy anywhere.

With Ebola and a terrorist running around with a hatchet in the NYC area, would it be a wise thing if I move to Antarctica?

kermit's a stinking frog! How hard is it to pique his attention?

You have to trade him or he will be released in 10 days.  He will not accept a minor league assignment.

It's pretty cold up there.   New Mexico and South Dakota are options.

Not very.

Mike, why can't this guy pitch in the majors? http://whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=5296148

Small sample sizes.   Guys like that are only good for 5-10 pitches.   That's 2-3 batters.   If one of them gets a hit, he's screwed.   If one walks and one hits a homer, his season stats will be horrible.   You have to look at individual outings with guys like that.    If he is successful 9 out of 10, he's fine.   But he might have a WHIP of 1.57 and an ERA of 4.34 on the season.

What is the % that you need to stay within for different years in a long-term contract?  I'm looking to sign a guy to a 5-year deal that is front-loaded, with a lower salary his 3rd year.  Can I go: $11 mil, $9 mil, $7 mil, $9 mile, $9 mil?
10/26/2014 1:07 AM

Season - This is the actual season salary that you would like to offer the player. In a two-year contract, neither season can comprise more than 60% of the total value of the contract. In a three-year contract, no season can comprise more than 40% of the total value of the contract. In a four-year contract, no season can comprise more than 30% of the total value of the contract. In a five-year contract, no season can comprise more than 25% or less than 10% of the total value of the contract. There is a maximum allowable offer of $20 million for any season. The minimum for any season is the minimum annual salary at that level. For the big leagues, this is 325K. To change the offer for any season, please click in the box next to the season and enter an integer value. For a three year contract, you must enter in values for the first three seasons, but you may leave seasons 4 and 5 blank. The total value of the contract will appear at the bottom of the page.

Raiders over Browns today? Should I break out the Woodson jersey today?
10/26/2014 2:17 PM
It's either this one or the Bills.   I don't see another that they could reasonably expect to win.    If the Woodson jersey is lucky, hell yeah.

I just took over a team and they have a 19 year old pitching prospect with durability/stamina of 14/63. Since I'm new to the team, I never saw his draft projections.

In my (limited) experience, pitchers with 14 durability usually don't increase that much, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Also, being new to the team, I only have $14 in training this year.

Is there any chance he could get up to at least the 20/70 range and be a starter?

I've never seen DUR improve 6 points.    Best you can hope for is 16-17.

While driving past a restaurant near my house yesterday afternoon, I saw a small group of people standing in the parking lot that I thought were wearing Halloween costumes.  As I got closer, I realized that they weren't wearing costumes at all, that they were Chinese.

Is that LACIST???
