My biggest problem with snake was that he was a self-aggrandizing, self-righteous hypocrite who was exposed as using multiple IDs in the same world after crusading against the same practice on the forums. Which sounds a little familiar to anybody whose read this thread. I've not accused you of anything. I suggested you shared lists -- something you've confirmed -- and suggested it's collusive behaviour so you should drop the "Take Back the Night" tone because it was collusion. Your highminded responses (nuthugger, colluder, ****** coach) don't even rise to the level of being called pathetic. I think everybody who reads this thread sees what a big, brave boy you are, sport.

I used to have respect for mcbeth, just because he was great coach. After reading this, I have none...

I remember reading a thread about a month back... it was one of those "I'm killing this team in the name of experiment" topics. I think the coach updates it pretty regularly so it might be on the front page still. Anyway, in his initial description of the experiment, he said that he "got" a D1 coach profile from nelson. A couple of comments later, ebel/livemike wrote "Its funny that nelson just happened to have an extra Div 1 ID laying around". That kinda makes you think... when **** like this happens.

I'm more of a forum stalker than a poster, but I feel the need to chime in for some odd reason.  First off I applaud potter for speaking up against 2 very well known and "respected" coaches here in GD or even possibly outing them as a multi.  It resembles a multi account because in his 2nd sitemail,  mcbethr stated to potter that "he would figure out why next cycle" .   Meaning that he already knew he was going to come in with his other ID and take the player because there is no way that he could predict that someone in the conference could have the money or open scholarship and the ability to come in and take the player that quickly, imo!!    Then he logs in here as nelson with a "save some face" kind of story, since everyone has always respected that ID.   I still respect their records on GD but their names are a bit tarnished as to how they might have gotten so good.  I think that WIS should have taken a more firm stand on this type of thing instead of the little slap on the wrist, because we all know that won't change anything.   As for the willgibson/jeffkahleb saga that is persisting, I have to agree that it seems as though willgibson just has it in for jeffkahleb because all he keeps throwing out there is the fact that jeff used to share lists back when it was not frowned upon by WIS.  I'm not sure how you can be upset at someone for something that wasn't considered cheating back then?  If he continued to do if afterwards that is one thing, but there is no proof of that to my knowledge.  Now granted jeffkahleb is a little colorful in his commentary, but he just puts it out there where possibly potter wouldn't have because fear of repercussions, I guess.  I don't care for hypocrites myself, but I can't say that I consider jeff one at this time because of him voicing his opinion in this matter.  He shared lists when it was within the rules to do so, that has no bearing on him standing up against what has happened in this instance.   Now if you prove that he has used multi ID's to aid himself in recruiting, you have a legitimate hypocrisy argument there and I would be backing your side instead!  Just so everyone knows, I also have 2 ID's, but they have always been in 2 different worlds so that I would never have to deal with this stuff.  My other ID is zerfo for those of you that care!

When is the movie coming out?

Interesting stuff.  I laid out facts about two accounts [last name, two initials number and last name two initials, no number].  Posts were made from those accounts in this thread---and then stopped.  People can form their own opinions about how much cheating by the nelsonba25 and mcbethbr accounts (or other unidentified accounts tied to them) was behind any "success" in an on-line computer game.  It's certainly clear to me.

People can also form their own opinions about WIS's response (or lack of one) to this situation and WIS's measures (of lack of measures) to prohibit use of multiple accounts.  It's my opinion that its not a high priority and the measures (if any) to prevent it from occurring are almost non-existent.  I have always been curious about the legalities of this practice giving that people pay to play the game and you can win "reward points" for goods including those Amazon cards.  If an on-line poker site profited directly, or indirectly, from accounts colluding---or took money from non-colluding customers without preventing this from occurring---would this run afoul of some law?

Who knows.  Maybe with rewards points being reduced, some of these colluding accounts will start dropping off.  Just a hunch.

If we lose the soap opra from 25 seasons ago and focus on the real issue which is clear collusion and the wide spread multi account fiasco.It would be interesting to see who has the balls/fortitude to out some of the multi that we have in the same worlds same divisions.Those and the div 1a div 1aa same world it sure would go a long way in clearing some names that now are coated with doubt in regards to your records and how they were achieved. 

Or who has the balls to explain why they have multi's in the same world same division,before your outed

I'll be the first to step up, though I've never hidden the fact, acctually have announced it on the forum boards before. Also before WIS redid the forums and coaches profiles I let everbody know I had multi accounts. Once again jibe and jibe717 are one and the same, shouldn't take anyone too many brain cells to figure that one out. After the next season rollovers I will be down to one team on each account, both in Warner. Washington under jibe and Minnesota under jibe717.

As to why, at one time I had 9 teams. At one time I very much enjoyed this game. I wanted more teams. It worked very well to have 2 teams in Warner due to schedules rather than enter yet another world. Warner recruits on weekends and that worked well for me. As to why both are in 1A, thats the only level I really enjoyed. As some have said this does not violate WIS's own rules. I've never hid my ID's but if someone has an issue with multi ID accounts they should take it up with WIS. I doubt with world pops dwindling that they'll fix this at this time however. They never once turned down my 10.95.

I think what you're going to get is a bunch of posts in this thread from people stating they have (or had) multiple accounts but for non-collusive reasons (e.g., friend gave me the account, loved the game so much wanted more and more teams, that world's recruiting schedule was the only one that worked for me, wanted a DIII team and a DIA team, needed to use the rewards points I was earning on more teams, I didn't want to leave the team I built but I wanted to move up in Divisions, etc., etc.).  They will also state that they didn't hide the fact (e.g., I posted this fact in the coaches corner, it is apparent from the account names that its the same person, I stated this in the forums, etc., etc.)  I can see and hear this train coming down the track.  Not sure it moves anything along.  

People can offer up any number of facially non-collusive reasons for multi accounts.  But there is no real way for non-colluding accounts to police whether people are using accounts to collude unless they slip up.  I really doubt any persons who are being shady are going to out themselves.
