The entire season. Both guys have had good and bad months. I don't see how anyone could argue that Tillman has been better.

Whatever, miket. I think a reasonable person would conclude that I was implying that Kazmir would be better over the course of the entire season.

I'm addressing the question of whether Kazmir "continued to be better" after May 12.  Not my words.

I think a reasonable person might wait until the end of the season to decide who "would be better over the course of the entire season."

Current trajectories suggest this could still be a totally open question.

I forget, was I the one that brought this up the other day?

You were the one that decided only full seasons are relevant.

If you want to figure out who was better this year, using the full season is probably the way to go.

I'm not trying to figure out who was better this year.  For about the 15th time, I'm trying to figure out who's been better since you said Kazmir would "continue to be better,"  and I said I didn't buy it.  Not all year.  Since that statement.

Fuckin-a. Did tec hack your account?

I've already said that when I said, "has been and will continue to be better," I was implying that, when you evaluate the entire season, Kazmir will be better. I give no ***** about some arbitrary endpoint.

Also, I already said ok. If you want to toss out a month and a half of Kazmir's best starts, you win. Whoop-dee-fuckin-doo.

Haha!!

Bored as **** at work.  Since May 12...

Kazmir - 9-5 record, 3.46 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 90 K, 29 BB, 106.2 IP
Tillman - 8-3 record, 3.19 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 76 K, 37 BB, 124 IP

Not drawing any conclusions of any kind, just felt like wasting a few minutes looking up the numbers.  Didn't really feel like digging any deeper than the standard fantasy-type stats though.

Tillman has not allowed more than 3 earned runs in 15 straight starts - 13 of those are QS and 14 of those he went 6+ innings (7+ in 8 of them). And he plays in a hitters park vs. the cavern Kazmir pitches in. I'll take Tillman all day, every day

Great. Kazmir has still been better this year.

Really? Prove it. His road stats are even with what Tillman has done all year. His home stats are better. Clearly he's benefiting from pitching in the coliseum. If he had to pitch half his games at Camden Yards (or Fenway/Rogers Centre/Yankee Stadium) he would not be doing as well. Keep looking at numbers in a vacuum though.
