World Mattingly is looking for five new owners heading into Season 19. We are a no drama league and feature a number of solid, helpful owners.
We have two rules, both of which we strictly enforce:
Five/Ten Rule: Any team can be removed if it fails to log in for five calendar days during the preseason, and ten calendar days during the regular season without first telling the commissioner about the absence.
Minimum Win Rule: Any team can be removed if it fails to maintain a cumulative .350 winning percentage in consecutive seasons.
If you have interest in any of the following teams, please sitemail me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arizona Grand Kraken - AL West - 87-75
This franchise was abandoned early on in S18, hypnotoad came in and did a nice job with the club, leading them to a wildcard spot. There's no reason to think this team can't compete again, and maybe challenge for the division, with a dedicated owner.
Fargo Northmen - NL North - 78-84
This team has been under the same owner since S4 but could not quite ever get over the hump. There's some nice young pieces here, adding some pitching via trade or FA should make this team a contender for the division in a very attainable NL North.
Seattle Argonauts - NL North - 70-92
Another team with an established owner who couldn't quite get over the hump. There are some players on this squad, this franchise is ripe for a quick build through FA, as there isn't a lot of money committed long term here.
Portland Landports - NL North - 62-100
Four seasons ago this was considered one of the more consistent teams in the NL, after two owners in three seasons that is not the case. There's not a ton of money committed here, and there are trade pieces in place if you feel like a rebuild. Of course, you can always build through FA.
Burlington Bengals - NL East - 70-92
A once very competitive franchise still has some pieces left, however, they have a large budget to make moves in FA or trade.
Austin Sixth Streets - NL South - 103-59
A dominant team returns for Season 19. Season 18 saw this team make it to their first LCS, but fall short. The pieces are still here for a deep run in the playoffs, this is definitely a nice team to step into.
Los Angeles Guns - NL West - 87-75
This has been a competitive franchise for the last five seasons, there are some decent pieces in the field but this team lacks power hitting. One of the best young closers in the league heads up the bullpen, a top quality starter could push this team over the hump and into the playoffs.
