Sorry if this has been addressed, but I haven't been following this as closely as I should.

What if any changes are going to be made to support progressive leagues?

Quite a bit.

We are introducing "twist" options to the theme wizard, keeper options to the Draft Center, easier league reactivation steps without as many restrictions as the current game, ability to see how other teams are drafting in the draft center so you don't have to go back and forth to the forums, more search options allowing user to target players for a season that also played during another season range, etc.

We haven't been showing these screenshots yet, but they are coming soon.

Does this mean something like sort players by 1989 salary whose first season was 1987?

We hadn't gone that far yet.

Our model was going to be...show me players from 1989-1990 who also played from 1993-1994. Or show me players whose first season was 1989 but also played in 1994.

How important is it to be able to do what you listed, which is slightly different. Looks like you want to specify an additional search which says "player first season was in year XXXX" in addition to rest of search.

Thanks

that would be very important.  Often in progressives you are targeting for certain year or years, so what crazy mentioned would be very nice as you could see what players, in a specific draft, help you most in the years you are targeting.

sidebar:   I've noticed over the last week or so that if I have multiple setup A pitchers, and they are all at 100%, it will sort them based on alphabetical order of first name.  That doesn't seem to be the best way to do it.  I'm in a 1989 progressive with both Jesse Orosco and Rob Dibble set as Set up A.   In RL Dibble has more GP, more IP, better OAV, and better WHIP yet Orosco has appeared in 22 more games than Dibble at the 105 game mark.  Similarly, in every league I go to that has more than 1 set up A, the pitcher with the name closest to A in the alphabet always appears more.
Will there be more in-depth bullpen settings for us to use to specify whether we want someone to be our go-to pitcher? or at least to have sparky determine the process another way besides picking the first name in the alphabet?

This is a compatibility question- have ant updates happened that have affected access from blackberries?

As chargingryno said this would be extremely useful for progressives. It would definitely help out in the drafts because as he said if you were about to do a draft for 1987 but knew you were going to have a pretty bad team until 1990 then you could look for the best person to draft for 1990 who entered the WiS database for the 1987 Draft.

I'll chime in as well, that both search functionalities described would be very helpful, but if you were to prioritize one, make it the one ryno and joe described. While both searches have serious value and merit, the latter is one that would get much more use.

Ok - we have worked this additional criteria in.

Thanks
