I had been in Division III for 5 seasons coming up on my 6th and final. My record going into season 6 is 43-14.

Seasons: 5
Job Status: Very Secure
Reputation: A+
Loyalty: A+

So my question is: I made promises to two players who probably SHOULDN'T start but I did promise they would this season. Will my reputation and/or loyalty be hurt by NOT starting these guys? Furthermore, if it IS INDEED hurt, does that effect how good of a division II job I can get? Finally, is a jump from Division III to Division II a realistic jump from Lycoming college?

Thanks!

The biggest problem with the players will be the loss of WE. Your rep will take a hit, but it's not as bad as cancelling scholarships; as long as you don't make a habit of it, you'll be fine.

I find DII easier than DIII. Fewer conferences mean it's easier to get into the playoffs, the opponents have more experience and are therefore more predictable (no telling what some of those DIII coaches will do!), and recruiting is more fun. Based on your record, you're ready to move as soon as you want to.

Start those crappy players (promised starts) versus all your sim opponents and the good ones versus the few human opponents.

I agree, you are ready to move up, if you want to.

I think with a winning record you can basically get any d2 team

Yeah and with 43 wins you could really move to DII this season and play 1 season and then move up to DIAA since the win requirement is roughly around 45 wins.  if you wanted to that is... i, for one, want to get to DIA as fast as possible in at least 1 world and then i want to have maybe a DII team and  DIII team in other worlds..

Thanks for the feedback guys! To be honest, the main reason I came back one more season, is my running back Richard Harden who has been a 4 year starter and very talented. Want to see how he does at his best as a Sr. I will be applying to a DII school this offseason.
