Hey Norbert is it possible to start a new world where coaches could fill that one, since. "populate heisman" idea has seemed to fade?

Bad idea. Besides, the beta world I can guarantee will be full. Once the game improves, worlds will fill themselves.

Until then, opening a new world is not a smart move.

Agreed, most of the worlds are less than half full as is.

Will never happen

It only fades because people want to start from scratch and be the top dog without earning their way up. We could have 6000 worlds then everyone could have their own and win the NC every year. The reason the "Populate Heisman" idea didn't take off is that too many people really don't mind playing SIMs - or recruiting aginst SIMS - or are just intimidated (afraid) to compete against humans. I think WIS should actually limit the addition of new coaches to one world at a time until it fills, then open another until it fills.

That's very onesided. It may pique interest from newbies, but no one in that world is going to be happy starting from scratch. Rivalries, resumes, and legacies have been built, and I'd put up a fight if my worlds were closed.

Also, although most people enjoy starting anew, I was opposite. I liked joining the more established worlds with histories and records, and it wasn't until recently I joined Yost, the newest world. Leahy and Rockne are both in their 80 something season, and Heisman is in the 60s.

There are too many worlds now that they can't keep players in. Why would they open a new one? I'll bet that they are thinking about closing one or two.

3 years ago When I stumbled upon Whatifsports, I actually signed  up for the NFL football for a few seasons before I found GD and became hooked.  In NFL they have "losers" leagues where you can only join if you have NOT yet won a championship.

Maybe WIS could take one of the world's D3 and make it a "0 Championships WON" Criteria.  I don't know.  Every season the winner is forced to choose a D2 school and if you don't then you have WIS choose for you.

fix the game and the world's will fill. it's not going to please everyone but it will help rebuild the relationship between WIS and the coaches.

Some worlds need to be closed and be updated to the current conference standing. Like Hayes, barely 25% filled with owners (love the world but a ghost town).

GD is built on 12 team conferences, they're not gonna fix them anytime soon. though honestly they could fix them for the most part, delete the WAC conference since they will be discontinuing football soon and create a new Independent conference that lumps all the non conference affiliated schools and the schools from 14 team conferences that can't fit into the 12 team GD model.

eventually WIS will have to fix them overall though. there will be 127 FBS level schools by 2015 and the conference model WIS uses can only hold 120(which is the current number of FBS teams).
DePaul doesn't even play football anymore.

South Alabama,Texas St,UTSA & Umass move up to DI this year. fully in 2013 which will be 124 teams.
Charlotte,Georgia St & Old Dominion will be moving up in 2015. which will be 127 teams.

If it's job openings at elites that you're concerned about I think the thread about holding them to a higher standard is what needs to be done.

Don't worry about closing "empty" worlds.  If they can fix the engine, "empty" worlds will no longer be a problem.
