Well, a handful of them did kill around 3,000 of our citizens on a Tuesday morning 12 years ago.

Actual quote.

In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War 2 and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

Well that certainly doesn't jive with the always reasonable "Obama hates America, is really a jihadist" narrative.

Breaking the record for death and damage caused by a terrorist attack in the United States previously held by a white Republican agnostic raised Christian?

Can't we hate 'em both?

I guess that depends on who "em" is.

Are "em" all Muslims and white conservatives? I'd say no, but your answer may be different.

Are "em" terrorists like McVeigh and the 9/11 hijackers? Sure, but does that even need to be argued? Does anyone not dislike terrorists?

Its inherently bad to be a white Republican agnostic raised Christian. Hate them.

He doesn't even say "Muslim" once. Not only is it taken out of context, it's incorrect.
