Would you be willing to take OSU over Stanford or Oregon?
at home absolutely.  In the Rose Bowl or other neutral site, yes.  Pure road game, probably not.

Why would I give a man who said "In the Rose Bowl or other neutral site, yes" points?   We are talking about a Rose Bowl match-up?    Is that sound I hear you backpedaling?

11/5/2013 12:27 PM
My contention all along is that Stanford, despite their one loss, is better than OSU with their undefeated record.
11/5/2013 12:39 PM
as I said I don't bet, but assuming I did, why would I not expect to get points from a man who says that one team will get crushed by another.  It seems to me you don't honestly believe that if you won't give any points and are once again just spouting off nonsense per your usual.

Would that nonsense be comparable to "In the Rose Bowl or other neutral site, yes" then "How many points do i get"?

Pretty much you've proven you're a fanboy who's just spouting homer ****.

I said I thought Ohio State would.  I even projected a score i.e. 35-31.  Something you have refused to do.  You think Ohio State gets crushed.  I've simply asked you to put up or shut up.  So go ahead.  Put up.

BTW, I have no objection to you being a fanboy.   Just don't act like you're being objective while you're doing it.

Put up what?   You've already said you don't bet.    I imagine that's a policy that formed today when i gave you the opportunity to back up your bullshit but whatever.  If you want to wager, let me know.   i've already said you can pick the amount.

I believe Ohio State would compete with the best teams in the country.  How is that any different than you saying they can't?  I objectively would have Ohio State 4th at this point in the season behind Bama, Oregon, and FSU, but think OSU would beat Oregon and FSU on a true neutral site (I've said since before the season started that I believe Alabama is by far the best team in the country and still maintain that).

I also don't think it is so crazy to eliminate a team from national title contention that lost to Utah.  Utah is horrible.  The only way Stanford has any shot at the national title game is winning out and having so many upsets and losses that are essentially the only team left.  That is what losing to Utah does to you.

I have never bet on a sporting event.  Don't have an online account and don't even do small dollar friendly bets with friends.  I get no enjoyment from that sort of thing as there is no control (I do do a $10 office pool for march madness, but I don't consider that the same type of thing).  I am certainly not opposed to gambling at casinos and what not, you know things like blackjack, poker, etc. because I find enjoyment in actually playing the game, I just don't bet on sporting events.

Then WTF am I supposed to put up?

if this were a 2 team scenario, yes, Stanford doesn't get there.   It isn't.   The thread is called:  Playoffs, a season early.    You want to eliminate a team due to a loss in September.   That's not how "playoffs" work.

No I'm saying that a loss to Utah eliminates Stanford because Utah is horrible.

Are Clemson and Miami eliminated in your world?
11/6/2013 12:54 AM
Is Utah eliminated in your world, MikeT23? If so, Clemson & Miami FL should be too. Utah's win over Stanford is far superior to any win Clemson or Miami FL have.

You can't point to Clemson's win over Georgia, either. Georgia lost in week 1, the same week they lost in more convincing fashion to Boise State a couple seasons ago & Georgia sported a better defense that year. Clemson's win over Georgia was good, nothing that special. Other than that, Clemson & Miami FL have proven nothing. They are both unproven commodities & they got smashed by another team that I say is overrated & unproven too. Florida State's two best wins came over two teams that have done nothing that special.

It's really funny that you will not accept an undefeated Ohio State because they haven't beaten anybody & yet you praise Florida State for beating two unproven teams that haven't really beaten anybody. Utah holds a win over Stanford & a win on the road against BYU. Show me how Clemson & Miami FL are more worthy of being looked at as Top 4 than Utah - a PAC 12 cellar dweller.

What on earth would make you think I think that? I mean I'm sure it wasn't all of the times I pointed out how horrible Utah was.  Or maybe it was all those times I said, it wasn't like they lost to a good team like Oregon, UCLA, Arizona State, or even an Oregon State.  Utah is a horrible team.  You can't lose to a horrible team.

So me saying that means I eliminate teams that lose to Florida State.  Got it.  You really are a moron.

They didn't lose.  They got shitkicked.   If you can't compete with the top, why should you be given a chance at the National Championship when the mighty Buckeyes are undefeated.

And quit being a 12 y/o old *******.    Just say "OSU should be in a 4 team playoff no matter what.   They're undefeated and, as long as they remain so, a 1 loss team cannot pass them."    ********.
