I just had a pitcher reach his max pitch count at the end of 8 innings, with a perfect game going, and he did not come back out for the 9th.

I thought I read somewhere that pitchers would be allowed to exceed their pitch counts if they had a no-hitter or perfect game going on in the late innings. Did I imagine that?

I beleive they will not start an inning, no matter what, if they've reached their MPC.   What you're not imagining is that they won't be replaced mid-inning with a no-hitter.

That is a setting that would be nice to add. If we ever get another update......
