No Quitters was named because at the time the league was formed owners would leave a league after 1 year if they did not like what they received when the league was formed.  To combat that pattern we asked new owners to stay a minimum of 3 years (still do).  There are 3 teams available in this unique league.  contact Ajaxx88 if interested,  (I had to give up the commish position a year ago when I became ill)

Some reasons you should want to be in a league like No Quitters

League Stability
The league asks owners who join to stay for at least 3 seasons. Almost everyone honors that but many stay longer..

Current owners in the league for 4-5 seasons 4
Current owners in the league for 6-11 seasons 4
Current owners in the league for 12-19 seasons 3
Current owners in the league for 20-28 seasons 3
Current owners in the league for all 29 seasons 6

Franchises with 3 or fewer owners in their 29 year history 14

Former owners with 10 or more seasons 19

Competitive Balance
Only 18 100 win teams in the last 10 seasons
Only 22 100 loss teams in the last 10 seasons
7 different WS winners in the last 10 seasons
14 of the 16 AL franchises have won their division at least once in the last 10 seasons
15 of the 16 NL franchises have won their division at least once in the last 10 seasons

Private rules to help keep the world healthy

(1) 30M minimal player budget(spent),
(2) no ML players playing grossly out of position,
(3) competent major leaguers at the ML level,
(4) no fatigue issues in the majors,
(5) minimum wins 54/1yr, 114/2yr, 186/3yr,
(6) maintain minors to satisfaction of other owners (while no exact number of players is a requirement, starting the season with 29 players and 15 pitchers/level will automatically meet this guideline),
(7) an owner may be given a 1 year "grace period" by the commish OR the vote of 10 owners (any owner can initiate the vote) (confirmed 4/18/2010 by league vote)
(8) EVERY new owner is asked to make a 3 year commitment

Someone was smart enough to grab the NL South team. Who's next?
12/3/2013 1:39 PM
Tropicana apparently got tired of waiting and bolted - he left behind a division winner in the AL North - that makes 2 division winners(NL North) available and as close to a Trash Heap(AL West) as No Quitters!! ever has.  Take your pick and JOIN.
