Darvish or Matsuzaka?

You're assuming he picks the Yankees why exactly?  Does he have a particular fondness for hanging out with old men?

More money.   But I'm not assuming anything.    Yanks are probably the most needy which would lead one to believe they would pay the most.   But the Dodgers seem to have a bottomless money pit.   Maybe they sign him to be a #3.  The others I've heard are Texas, Atlanta, AZ and the Cubs.

Atlanta needs him the most, but I don't think they'll spend the money to get him.

$155M over 7 years, plus a $20M posting fee?  Crazy.

I hope he doesn't become another Hidecki "Fat Toad" Irabu.

20m posting fee = A-Rod's salary that won't be paid.

so much for the 'dodgers/cubs will outbid every other team'

I had guessed Yankees get him for 7 years, $140M. Yankees had the money, desperately needed a great pitcher, and the Yankees are "the team" internationally. And relative to other pitchers, he's getting a fair amount of money.

Wow, what a shocker, the Yanks outbid every other team. Until something changes, why would you think anything else?
