Maurice Archdeacon - OF
I realized that neither of his seasons are eligible for this league.  Ross Youngs will be the replacement.
why not?

edit: I've been working under the assumption that if a player never had a season with more than 400 PAs or 100 IPs, then all of their seasons were available for the rand.

I asked Taint about it, and got confirmation from him.  Archdeacon has two seasons and neither of them have 400ab.  I'm just going with what the man said....
OH yes....if a player doesn't meet the criteria he is ineligible to be drafted.

hmm, guess I need to make a repick then, and I'm probably not the only one...

did everyone know about that rule going into the draft? because I did not know about it and the rules don't specify.

I was pretty excited about my Showboat Fisher pick, so I'm reluctant to draft again, but I guess I have to.

only 1st and last seasons of that player if they do not meet criteria all seasons between can be randomized (including of course if they meet critera for 1st and/or last season of their careers also)

so if archdeacon has more than 2 seasons he is legit

The rules are pretty clear. A position player with only one or two seasons and both fewer than 400 at bats (not PA!) is ineligible. For Archdeacon, you'd be guaranteed his 1924 season because '23 and '25 are ineligible. A starting pitcher with 1-2 seasons both under 100 IP would be ineligible (Danny Salazar, e.g.). Showboat should be valid. His first and last were '23 and '32, and '24 is not in the WIS database. His 1930 season should be eligible.

I guess I goofed, because I didn't consult baseball reference.  I just saw that he had two WIS-eligible seasons and that neither of them fit the rules of this theme.  I didn't know his '25 season existed and would have landed me the '24.  Oh well.

In his typical detailed way, habsfan1 made sure to specify that he used baseballreference.com, and the at-bats rule. I've rarely checked it before either and have had a few unpleasant surprises because of it.

Last pick: Justin Wilson P
