So only got picks from 1 person.  I'm away, so I'll make a ruling tomorrow.

D'oh! Life completely got in the way, and I dropped the ball. Sorry!

Pokerdonk gave me an entry, so he will be safe and continue in the game.

The 3 remaining players: amorak, sjurat, shlog3131 will compete in a makeup challenge on Monday/Tuesday.  However, the lowest 2 players will both be eliminated since I'm giving you guys a 2nd chance.

Here is the challenge, I'm going to give you a mathematical equation that you can fill in with whatever values you think will be correct.  All I'm looking for is the FINAL ANSWER.  Closest wins, other two are eliminated.

Here is your equation:

Number of rushing yards for Cleveland Browns on Monday night
+
Number of strikes throw by the starting pitchers in the Cin/STL MLB game on Monday night
/
Number of walks thrown by all pitchers in the LAA/BOS MLB game on Tuesday night
+
Number of hits in all LLWS games on played on Tuesday
*
Number of triples hit in all MLB games played on Tuesday
-
Number of penalty yards in the WAS/CLE game on Monday.

TB1 is  number of passing yards by Johnny Football
TB2 is order received.

Deadline is Monday at 8pm EST.

Additionally all other players have a couple of things they can do if they choose.

1) Make a guess at that challenge.  Closest overall gets a MAJOR ADVANTAGE in the next challenge.
2) Send the hosts a letter about the game up to this point.  You can talk about whatever you want, but hit on the following things:
How the game is going for you so far?
Are you working with anyone overall, or just going challenge to challenge?
Does the teams being scrambled make the game more or less exciting?
How confident are you in making to the end?
Who do you think is the biggest threat left in the game?

Ooooooooooh fun!!!

The challenge should be submitted based on the sequence I listed, not real mathematical rules.

How do you make that determination - should we pretend that gravity doesn't exist tonight too?

140 penalty yards in the 1st half --- the final # will be negative

Shlog3131 is eliminated, he didn't submit.

Here are the two entries:

amorak: 44.625  TB1: 137

I think the key number is the # of triples hits tomorrow night to determine if it will be a negative number or not.

I apologize for the lack of power play clues, life has been absolutely crazy the past week. I am sending them now.

Update: Clues have been sent and we'll be including more power play clues in the future challenges.

The math problem comes out to like 185 and change because of 4 triples
8/20/2014 6:42 AM
There were 5 triples, so the correct answer is:

270.286

Sjurat has been eliminated.

Pokerdonk gets an advantage on the next challenge which will be posted later today.
