...they DO normalize the game. (See the "+" stats.) The thing is that even normalized, the star pitchers tend to be really good at suppressing HRs. If Dead Ball Pitchers are that much of an issue for you, try theme leagues that don't allow those years.

I'd be okay if all the missing HR's were just turned into doubles and triples against the DB pitchers... which should be the case, but I don't see much evidence of it.
