Lasorda-1 Very Good Team-Grab It Now! Topic

In World Lasorda one of our greatest assets has always been the ability to roll over quickly. No 4 month waiting period here. Nor 2. Not even 1. The last 7 seasons we have rolled to budgets within 4 days of the first roll--with 4 of those on Day 1.

How do we do it? Extremely low owner turnover is the key. Almost everyone likes it here. Great competition. Great chat. Great Commissioner. What's not to like?

We are currently in the playoffs (LCS), having completed another successful season. We are expecting one opening--a long-time owner who has gone MIA. Assuming he does not return here is what you have a shot at:

Chicago

This team is in very good shape for either a serious run toward the playoffs OR a selling off of offensive assets for a quick rebuild. Chicago should have the #9-11 Draft Pick, depending on tiebreakers. A huge selling feature for this team is that it loses over half its payroll in the off-season, dropping from $88.8M (hardly bloated) to $41M in commitments.

The Cubs feature a dynamic 1-2-3 punch at the top of their ML rotation with moderately-priced
Del Quentin, Mike Raines, and Josias Soto. Who wouldn't like taking those three into the playoffs to face the toughest of offenses? Their farm system pipeline ain't too shabby either with Dave Berg, Delino Molina, and Hideo Tanaka leading the way to a very bright future.

Reserve this team today. Tomorrow may be too late. Looking for someone with 5 or more HBD seasons. Send inquiries to:
